Street Artists vs. Corporations Argumentative
From street artist, to musicians, to corporate entities (like H & M) copyright infringement has become a hot topic. Recently, graffiti artists have sued large corporations for using their art without permission, and large corporations are suing back. Some people would argue that what these corporations are doing is theft. Others would say that graffiti artists' work shouldn't be protected under the law. If a corporations uses a street artist’s original work without paying, is that violating copyright law? Why or why not? Who owns graffiti art? Participants will view various pieces of art and engage in dialogue about this current topic.
